Harry Kane has hit back at Tottenham’s critics after he returned to goalscoring form in Saturday’s 2-1 at Brighton
Kane had gone four games without a goal and had lost three games in a row under Maurici Pochettino.
However, against Brighton Kane scored from the penalty spot in Tottenham’s opener.
‘Look it’s all about mentality. I’ve said all along as a team we can do better,’ he told BT Sport. ‘Even at the start of the season we thought we could do better ‘If you’re a striker and you’re not scoring goals people are always going to ask questions. That’s part of the job. ‘But for me it’s about doing my job for the team and working hard for the team. I thought everyone put in a great shift today and we deserved the win. ‘Hopefully now we can build a bit of momentumm and take it forward.’
