Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has named Thiago Silva as Chelsea's best player right now.
Despite the club's significant investments in quality players in recent transfer windows, Redknapp believes Silva remains the Blues' most valuable asset.
In a recent column for The Sun, the pundit expressed criticism regarding Chelsea's recruitment strategy. Notably, Silva, now 39 years old, was acquired on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, and according to Redknapp, he is currently the shining star at Stamford Bridge.
“Chelsea have spent a fortune in recent years but they haven’t spent it well. Silva is still their best player and he is nearly 40!” he said, via The Chelsea Chronicle.
Thiago Silva appears to be the most exceptional footballer at Mauricio Pochettino's disposal, showcasing remarkable performance even at the age of 39. While Chelsea boast other standout players like Reece James and Cole Palmer, Silva's contributions remain particularly noteworthy.
