Chelsea striker Eden Hazard was offered to Real Madrid before the Champions League final- and Real Madrid consider the Belgian an alternative to Neymar.
According to Marca, Hazard’s dad made a contact with Los Blancos prior to their showpiece match against Liverpool.
Hazard Sr seemingly told Real that his son had put contract talks at Stamford Bridge on hold as he ponders a departure to secure Champions League football next term.
He told Le Soir just a few months ago: “Eden rejected extending his contract with Chelsea so that, when it comes, he can consider the interest of Real Madrid, where he’d fit in well.”
Real Madrid have long been linked with a move for Hazard, and the player has made no secret of his interest in making the switch.
“Real Madrid could interest me, everyone knows it, if they want me they know what they have to do,” Hazard told L’Equipe.
“If I have a good World Cup, things will be easier, but going to Madrid for the sake of it, no.
“Saying ‘I’m off’ would be too easy, that’s why first I want to see what happens to Chelsea next season.”
