AS Roma newcomer Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed why he chose to join Serie A side and if he regrets leaving Premier League.
Former Manchester United and Arsenal man was the captain of his national team against Italy during Euro - 2020 qualifiers at Republican Stadium, Yerevan.
Despite the early goal from Aleksandr Karapetyan, Italy outclassed Armenia to beat them 1-3, as Andrea Belotti scored a double and Lorenzo Pellegrini added one.
"This is football, where anything could happen. I’m happy that I've reached my goal and played in the Premier League. Now I will concentrate on Roma," Mkhitaryan told reporters after the match.
"They had been interested clubs, but Roma were the only one with a good offer. They expressed their desire to see me at the club, and I am happy for that." Armenian international added.
