'He’s got everything' - Ian Wright says Arsenal man will be 'top player' if Mikel Arteta gives him time

Ian Wright believes Gabriel Martinelli will be a 'superstar' if Mikel Arteta gives him more playing time and be patient with him. Martinelli has been superb at Arsenal since his arrival, but injuries have treated him really badly. The Brazilian youngster is now a first-choice in the squad, however, he has managed to miss 38 games in all competitions since 2019. Speaking to ESPN Brazil’s Joao Castelo-Branco, the legendary Gunner admitted that the 20-year-old has everything to become a top player in the coming years.
“He’s (Martinelli) the kind of player that is very aggressive when he’s running, when he’s pressing. He loves to finish, loves to shoot," Wright said.   “I think he has been very unfortunate with injuries. If he gets the time and patience and a run in the team, he’s going to be a superstar.   "He has got everything. The only thing that has curtailed him is the injuries.   “When I watch him, he’s got everything that you need. He’s somebody that I’ve got a lot of faith in because he has got everything to be a top player.”
