Andy Robertson has made comments on Emiliano Martinez afterwards the Saturday clash.
Speaking on the club’s
official website, Robertson noted how Martinez often gets into the opposition players’ heads during penalties.
He admitted that he and his teammates knew about that, which is why they allowed Mohamed Salah to ‘go into his own space’.
The Reds took advantage of Aston Villa, as they won with a score of 1-0 after Salah's penalty.
“Their ‘keeper is known for saving penalties but also for trying to get in whoever is taking it’s head," said the Liverpool left-back
“I think we did a good job getting around Mo, letting Mo go into his own space and try to let him focus and let us deal with the kind of nonsense.
“Luckily Mo stayed composed and the ‘keeper went the right way, but when it’s that far in the corner you don’t save those.”
