Tottenham star Heung-Min Son has provided a positive update on his fitness ahead of the World Cup 2022.
The South Korean was doubtful to be part of the national team for the upcoming major football tournament after picking up an injury against Marseille in the Champions League group stage. The player needed surgery on a fracture near his eye socket.
Son has now taken to Instagram to thank all the fans for their support and confirm that he is fit and ready to travel to Qatar.
"Hi everyone. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you all for the messages of support i have received over the last week," he wrote.
"I have read so many of them and truly, truly appreciate you all. In a tough time I received a lot of strength from you!
"Playing for your country at the World Cup is the dream of so many children growing up, just as it was one of mine too. I won’t miss this for the world. I can’t wait to represent our beautiful country, see you soon."
