Emile Smith Rowe, who has been on the sidelines since August, has made a hint on his potential return date.
The 22-year-old stated that is back to training on the pitch and believes he could be back to action after the World Cup, during his side's home match against West Ham on December 26.
England international currently continues to recover from his groin surgery and is expected to be part of Arsenal's traveling squad to Dubai for warm weather training camp.
The Gunners are confirmed to take part in the Dubai Super Cup between December 8 to December 13 to face AC Miland Lyon.
Speaking to Sky Sports at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the midfielder claimed he hopes to be fit before Christmas.
“Hopefully by the first game back after the World Cup. I’m actually out here [in Saudi Arabia] doing rehab. Today was my day off, I’m back training tomorrow. I’m back on the pitch and stuff so it’s going well.”
“It’s going really well at the moment, I’m really happy for the team but sometimes it’s annoying when I can’t feel like I’m involved, I can’t be on the pitch with my teammates.
“At the same time we’ve just got to stay focused. I’m sure when the boys come back we’ll get kicking straight after. It’s looking good but we’re all excited for the World Cup."
