Manchester City are set to lose three players this summer if they don’t extend their contracts as Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Fernandinho will become free agents in June as per
Transfermarkt.com.
Aguero has been a City player since 2011 as he joined from Atletico Madrid. The Argentine star has become a key player for Manchester City. However, during this season, injuries and COVID19 have limited Aguero's playing time as he has made 9 appearances in which he has scored 2 goals.
Eric Garcia joined Manchester City in 2017 from Barcelona. The 20-year-old was a product of La Masia. Amid his contract expiry, the centre-back has been linked with a return to Barcelona. During this season the defender has also been given limited playing time due to an injury and coronavirus. He has overall made 9 appearances.
Fernandinho's contract is also set to expire in the summer. The defensive midfielder has made 19 appearances in which he has scored one goal and provided 2 assists.
Meanwhile, Scott Carson who is currently on loan at City will also see his loan contract with Pep Guardiola's side expire. Carson joined City on loan from Derby County.
So here is how Manchester City's squad will look like, should they not offer new contracts to the players, mentioned above.
