Manchester United target Axel Witsel will be staying in the Chinese Super League after his manager ruled out a move to the Red Devils.
Tianjin Quanjian’s manager Paulo Sousa denied all reports about the 29-year-old.
“I have received no information about Witsel’s transfer situation, neither from the club nor from the player himself,” he said.
“So as I understand it, he has a clause in his contract, but this clause can only be triggered within the [Chinese] transfer windows, and that has already shut in China.”
Sousa added: “This transfer will not happen.”
