Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed Andy Robertson’s first action was not one that he liked seeing against Southampton last night.
Reds were defeated 1 - 0 by the Premier League rivals, while the Scottish's first mistake was to make a foul after he felt he was brought down.
And speaking about the defender's display, Klopp
told Premier League Productions:
“Against two strikers it makes sense to build up with three. That could be Trent or Thiago, Robbo should have been slightly higher.
“They were not bombing up and down the line, that’s because we passed the ball in the wrong moments.
“Robbo, by the way, was constantly on his bike second half.
“These are outstanding players, but tonight one didn’t start well and Robbo’s first situation he wants a foul and then he grabs him, I don’t like these things. It shows we are not ready from the start.”
