'I don't trust him' - Pundit shreds Tottenham man who played the full 90 last night

Noel Whelan has claimed that Giovani Lo Celso cannot be trusted despite impressing for Spurs against NS Mura on Thursday. Speaking to Football Insider, former Leeds United striker insisted that the Argentine has to show the same quality in the Premier League as he did against the Slovenians.
“He was the one that came in to replace (Christian) Eriksen,” Whelan told Football Insider.   “He was that next player that was going to be the generation of that midfield. We talk about consistency, we talk about getting up to speed with the Premier League.   “He’s struggled to do that at times. We’ve seen flashes but that’s not enough. Flashes aren’t enough when you’ve brought a player in with the capabilities that he has.   “It’s another frustrating one. You know the quality and the ability that this player has but you need to see in the Premier League. That is where it counts.   “Maybe he needs a run of games. He needs to show he can be trusted by the manager and put in there. He’s not at the moment.   “When he is, he needs to deliver. Goals and assists in Europe, fantastic. He needs to take that into Premier League performances.”
Lo Celso scored and assisted last night as he played the entire 90 minutes in the 5-1 win. The 26-year-old has overall scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 72 appearances for Tottenham.   Source - footballinsider247 Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
