"I get an inkling": Alasdair Gold claims Jose Mourinho wants to transform youngster into another "Hojbjerg"

Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has opened up on Oliver Skipp's future at Tottenham. Skipp made his senior debut for the Spurs back in October 2018 during the club's 3-1 win over West Ham in the Carabao Cup. The 20-year-old is currently playing on loan at Championship side Norwich City. Gold recently uploaded a video onto his YouTube channel, where he shared some topics concerning Jose Mourinho's side. And speaking about the midfielder, he said: “When I said about a replacement for [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg [earlier in the video], I think it’s going to be Oliver Skipp in the future. “Oliver Skipp is smashing it at Norwich, they’re so happy with him, the fans and the staff [have] absolutely really taken to him. “His performances have been superb and I think, I get an inkling that Mourinho is going to groom him to be the essentially other Hojbjerg when he comes back. “He’s already said [that] he sees him as a future captain and I think that role would suit him very well.”
