Jamie Carragher believes that Manchester City's striker Erling Haaland has the potential to continue improving over time. When asked about Haaland's development during an interview with Sky Sports, Carragher expressed his opinion that there is more to come from the Norwegian player.
Last season, Haaland emerged as a top contender for the title of the world's best player, contributing significantly to Manchester City's treble victory with 53 goals in 52 matches. Even in the current season, the 23-year-old has already scored three goals in the first three Premier League matches.
Ahead of City's thrilling 2-1 triumph over Sheffield United on Sunday, Jamie Carragher voiced his belief that Erling Haaland has the potential for further improvement.
“I think so. He’s still a young player. He’s doing things he hasn’t been asked to do before. He wants to be more involved in the build-up. Can they actually get more out of him? The way City and Haaland play, he wants it a bit earlier. He wants that Kevin de Bruyne pass a little bit more," the pundit said, via Manchester City News.
“There’s no better person for him to be working with than Pep Guardiola, one of the best managers in football.”
