Alasdair Gold has ruled out Maurizio Sarri becoming Tottenham's next coach and played down suggestions that Nuno Espírito Santo could take over.
Both managers have been recently linked with Spurs' job amid Jose Mourinho's struggles at the North London club.
However, speaking about the rumours on Mourinho's possible replacements, Gold said
on his own Youtube channel:
“There’s no truth in that, I understand, at all.
“I saw Nuno was linked, that’s a strange one for me.
“Mourinho has very close links with Jorge Mendes the agent, and he’s the agent of Nuno.
“So that’s an odd link for me, in that respect, and also it’s a funny one – you know, he’s had a mixed season again. I don’t know whether it would be met with the most excitement by the Spurs fans.
“I must admit I haven’t heard too much on that one. I know he’s a manager Spurs have liked, but whether it’s the right time I don’t know.”
