Former Leicester City boss Ian Holloway hails the Foxes’ current coach Brendan Rodgers, following Friday’s record-breaking 9-0 away win over Southampton. He praised the way Rodgers has transformed Jamie Vardy since arriving at the King Power Stadium.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Holloway said:
“To leave Celtic, he (Rodgers) obviously felt he was getting the right club. What he’s doing for Vardy… rejuvenating him. They’ve chosen a proper, proper manager. He’s learnt from Liverpool when he finished second, faced every single challenge with Celtic and what a great time for him to go into Leicester. I don’t think there’s any doubt (about Leicester finishing in the top four). I don’t think the others are anything like good enough. Man United are going to struggle to catch them and the manager knows what he’s doing.”
After Friday’s win, the Foxes remained at 3rd position in the Premier League with gaining 20 points overall.
