Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw at Spurs in the north London derby. After the match Arsenal legend Ian Wright heavily criticized Shkodran Mustafi for his poor performance against Tottenham Hotspur.
In his opinion Mustafi was responsible for Arsenal’s loss of points as he brought down Spurs’ striker Harry Kane in the second half to give away a penalty, which Kane tucked away to cancel out Aaron Ramsey’s opener.
“[Harry] Kane was offside for their first goal but then again, [Shkodran] Mustafi’s finger prints were all over the crime scene. He was pushing him in the back,”
Wright explained on his YouTube channel.
“I thought the manager got the shape right,” Wright added. “We negated [Christian] Eriksen and [Harry] Kane.
“It feels like a loss to be honest, especially when you look at the decisions. We were positive and attacked them. The boss has to get a lot of credit.”
