Leah Williamson has been sidelined for a long-term with an ACL injury and has earned her first England call-up ahead of February friendlies after returning from the injury.
Williamson was absent for nine-moths after suffering a serious knee injury.
The Lionesses prepare to face Austira and Italy in international friendlies during February.
Ahead of the fixtures, Sarina Wiegman revealed her squad and named Williamson in it.
Her return, however, sparks concern in who will captain the national team? During Williamson's absence, Millie Bright was the main player who wore the armband, however, she is currently dealing with her own knee injury and is sidelined.
Asked during her press conference if Williamson will come back as the England captain, Wiegman said: "I have to talk to the players first about that, so we'll come in, and it's also a new moment, we start again. We'll probably revisit that and have a conversation first with the group."
Other players that have captained England in the past are Mary Earps, Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood.
