Italian Serie A table 2023/24

Serie A is one of the top domestic competitions in Europe. Italy's top football clubs compete for fame, while each year the best four teams try their luck at European competitions as well. 

The annual schedule for the upcoming 2023/24 Serie A has been confirmed. The fixtures are planned to resume on Sunday, August 20, 2023, and come to an end on Sunday, May 26, 2024. During the weekend of January 6-7, all teams will participate in matches, excluding the four finalists of the Super Cup held in Saudi Arabia. The semifinals of the Super Cup are scheduled for January 4-5, followed by the final on January 8.

Napoli were crowned as the Serie A Champions for the 2022/23 season, with Lazio, Inter Milan and Milan following them in the top four. 

Meanwhile, Cremonese and Sampdoria were relegated to the second division, giving up their place to the promoted teams, Frosinone and Genoa. After the relegation battle with Spezia, Verona secured their place in the first division. Meanwhile, Cagliari beat Bari in the play-offs to get promoted from the Serie B.

Italian Serie A relegation 2023/24

 

The Serie A's worst three teams will be relegated to the Serie B. Meanwhile, two top teams will automatically be promoted from the second division, with the third potential participant decided after a series of play-offs between the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth-ranked clubs.

 

When will Serie A 2023/24 season start?

 

The Serie A 2023/24 will kick off on the weekend of August 19, a week later compared to the previous season. This earlier start date is being implemented to provide ample time for national teams to adequately prepare for the 2024 European Championship.

 

Will there be international breaks in Serie A 2023/24?

 

During the 2023/24 season, three international breaks have been reintroduced and are scheduled to occur on September 9-10, October 14-15, and November 18-19.

Additionally, towards the end of the season, there will be another international break on March 23-24. This particular break will allow the Italian national team coach, Roberto Mancini, to assess the players who he believes will contribute to Italy's defense of their championship in the upcoming summer.

UK: The Serie matches are exclusively broadcasted by BT Sport in the UK as well as in Ireland. 

USA: This country offers a series of options to watch the games, including RaiPlay, BT Sports, Amazon Prime Video, Kayo Sports, and beIN Sports.

Canada: fuboTV has the exclusive rights to broadcast the Serie A and Coppa Italia matches. 

Australia: beIN SPORTS is responsible for the live stream of the Serie A matches, with Foxtel providing live coverage of the Serie A League.

Ghana: Fixtures will be available on SuperSport Select 5, Channel 136, and the GOtv Max platform. 

Kenya: The games are shown on Supersport, DStv, and Gotv platforms. 

Nigeria: SportyTV is here to broadcast the Serie A clashes.
