Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has turned down moves to Manchester United and Juventus.
The Croatian international has made 300 appearances, netting 35 goals for Catalan giants. This term the midfielder found his playing time limited.
Manchester United and Juventus were among the clubs interested in the player, according to Spanish news outlet
Sport.
However, Rakitic has rejected both moves. His family is well settled in Catalonia. Yet, the player believes he can remain an important figure at Barcelona's first team.
United have signed Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes earlier this week. Speaking at the press conference, the club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed they have no intention to sign new players during the January transfer window.
