Manchester United are using a "neutral agent" in their hunt to sign Jadon Sancho, according to Bild transfer specialist Christian Falk. He claims an intermediary is conducting high-level talks between the Old Trafford side and Borussia Dortmund.
He posted on Twitter: "
Update on Sancho: A neutral agent is doing the work between the clubs. So United can say: We don‘t talk, we don‘t negotiate. WE don‘t have any agreements."
Reports on Monday that a potential £110m deal for the England international are wide of the mark with both clubs still some way off from completing a deal. Manchester United chief Ed Woodward delivered a sobering financial update earlier this summer but it's understood the Premier League giants will do everything to seal Sancho.
The stumbling block in negotiations could be the breakdown off the fee with United believed to be only ready to pay £70m with the rest made up in add-ons and incentives.
