Jadon Sancho is expected to join Manchester United ahead of the 2020-21 campaign. The 20-year-old, who has impressed for Borussia Dortmund over the past three seasons, is set to become the Red Devils’ record signing.
Paul Pogba is still United’s most expensive signing following his £89.3 million move from Juventus in August 2016, but the deal for Sancho is likely to blow that figure out of the water.
According to Neil Custis of
The Sun, United will fork out an eye-watering £110 million for Sancho. However, only £70 million will be paid upfront, with the additional £40 million comprised of add-ons.
The Sun’s report adds that Sancho *will* become United’s new No. 7. Sancho is also set to sign a four-year deal, with the option on the club’s side of extending it by a further 12 months, worth £220,000 a week. This wage will make him the fourth-highest earner at Old Trafford.
David de Gea is the current highest-earner at the club with a £375,000 a week wages, Paul Pogba is second at £290,000 a week, while Anthony Martial is third- £250,000 a week. Marcus Rashford current fourth-highest earner with £200,000 a week income.
