Jamie Carragher has dropped an admission on Mason Mount following the criticism the player gets recently.
Despite constructive criticism, the 23-year-old is continuing to keep his starting sport both Chelsea and England International.
The midfielder has eight goal contributions under his name in 21 matches played so far. Furthermore, Mount has recently made in into Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad for the World Cup which begins on Sunday, November 20 in Qatar.
The current campaign didn't start in the best way for the Three Lions' star but his recent performance are proof that the player deserves his trusted place in Southgate's traveling list.
Speaking on Sky Sports (quoted by Football London) after the Blues' recent Premier League defeat to Newcastle, Carragher defended the player claiming 'he’s not as easy' as others.
"People question Mason Mount possibly because he’s not as easy on the eye as other players.
"But every manager picks him, Chelsea or England, he’s a clever footballer who understands the other side of the game and I think he can do a job and make sure England don’t get counter-attacked on."
