Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has named his ultimate XI consisting of players he’s played with at Anfield, as reported by the
Mirror.
Carragher had had a long career at the Reds, having featured in 737 games for the Merseyside club.
Liverpool legend has now named his ultimate XI which consists of players he played with under both Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez.
Carragher chose Pepe Reina in goal, Steve Finnan at right-back, Sami Hyypia and Stephan Henchoz in central defence and John-Arne Riise at left-back.
His midfield is formed by Dietmar Hamann as a defensive midfielder alongside Steven Gerrard and Danny Murphy as central midfielders. Upfront Carragher picked Michael Owen, Emile Heskey and Dirk Kuyt.
The substitutes are Jerzy Dudek, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, Lucas Leiva, Xabi Alonso, Vladimir Smicer and Robbie Fowler.
