Joachim Low: 'Germany still need Mesut Ozil'

Germany head coach Joachim Low has insisted that the world champions need Mesut Ozil if they are to progress through the World Cup. The manager told The Mirror that Ozil is an important part of the team, despite opting for Julian Brandt and Mario Gomez as substitutes in the second half against Sweden. "We have strong competition with us in the squad," Low said. “We will still need his creativity in the tournament."
