Joe Gomez enters new contract talks with Liverpool

Liverpool star Joe Gomez has entered new contract talks with the club, according to The Liverpool Echo. The 21-year-old defender has been hugely impressive for the Reds in the early part of the new season. Liverpool boss Klopp is determined to recognise the defender's rapid ascent and despite Gomez only signing a new deal back in January 2017, the England star is set to be offered fresh terms. Gomez has clocked up 53 appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Charlton Athletic for an initial fee of £3.5million in the summer of 2015.
