Jordan Henderson has delivered an injury update as Liverpool are preparing for trophy lift. The Reds will play against Chelsea today, July 22, however, Liverpool captain will be missing the game due to an injury that he suffered during 3-1 win against Brighton earlier this month.
After the game against the Blues, the Reds will lift their 19th Premier League trophy.
"The knee is getting better," Henderson told the
ECHO. "Rehab has been going OK so far and there is still a little while to go, but yes, it is getting stronger all the time.
"And I am not sure about the shuffle yet, I've got a few days to make sure I am ready, so we will have to wait and see!
"I think we are looking forward to it. We have obviously got a game first which the lads will have to prepare and focus for, that is the most important thing, but after that we are all looking forward to it.
"We deserve this moment as a team for how consistent and how good we have been this season. So we are definitely looking forward to it, as I am sure every other Liverpool fan is."
Henderson will also miss Liverpool's away game against Newcastle on Sunday.
Another player that will miss the clash is
Joel Matip, who has revealed earlier that he expects to miss the rest of the season due to a foot injury.
