Jorginho has sent a strong warning to his Chelsea teammates ahead of their Club World Cup final clash with Palmeiras on Saturday.
The Blues beat Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal 1-0 on Wednesday thanks to club-record signing Romelu Lukaku's first-half strike.
And Jorginho insists that Palmeiras will be desperate to prove that South American football is just as competitive as European football by beating Chelsea.
"They are going to play for everything," he said, as cited by the Evening Standard. "This is very important for a team in Brazil.
"I think probably they want to prove they are better than European teams. It is the opportunity for them to play against a team from Europe.
"For them, that’s a big thing. They are going to come for us. We need to be prepared for that."
