Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has lashed out at his players for making “big mistakes” in their 3-2 defeat at Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy put the hosts two goals up, before Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for United.
However, Brighton scored again through Pascal Gross. Paul Pogba’s 90th minute penalty, was not enough as Mourinho’s men lost at the American Express Community Stadium.
When asked to explain the defeat, he replied: “Too many mistakes. We were punished by the mistakes.
“Sometimes you make mistakes and are not punished but were were punished by every mistake we made. The third goal was too hard.
“An accumulation of mistakes and punishments with goals was giving happiness and confidence to Brighton.”
