Jose Mourinho interested in highly-rated Manchester United player

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is reported to be a keen admirer of Dean Henderson amid reports that Manchester United are set to offer him a new contract. The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Sheffield United and has played an essential role in the Blades’ remarkable first season back in the Premier League. Henderson has only conceded 25 goals this season, keeping 11 clean sheets and has only had one error leading to a goal. According to Manchester Evening News, Spurs boss holds the goalkeeper in high regard after watching him in the academy ranks at Old Trafford while the Portuguese was in charge of the former Premier League champions. The report also suggests that Henderson will only sign a new deal if he is guaranteed the number one spot at Manchester United and does not want to follow the route of Sam Johnson who signed multiple deals but never made a competitive appearance before departing.
