Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wanted to sell Anthony Martial and replace him with Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic, before he was sacked.

Ed Woodward stepped in to demand Martial stayed at the club.

Martial joined United in 2015 with a £50million move from Monaco. He scored 17 goals in 49 appearances under Louis van Gaal but only 31 times in the following three years under Mourinho.
