Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Leeds United are interested in Newcastle striker Chris Wood.
Due to his limited playing time at St. James' Park, the 31-year-old is rumored to be departing ways with the Magpies in January.
Meanwhile, Jesse Marsch attempts to add more depth to his arsenal and the New Zealand international could be an attractive option for the Yorkshire side.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, the journalist insisted that the Whites could consider the striker's potential transfer next month, however, the player would most probably join on loan instead of a permanent stay.
“I wouldn’t rule out Chris Wood, former Leeds, of course. He’s not getting much game time at Newcastle United at the moment.
“Newcastle are still looking at goalscorers and creative-minded options. I don’t think Leeds would want to sign Wood on a permanent deal, but there might be a loan opportunity there, so that’s one to just keep an eye on.” Jacobs stated.
