The Scottish Sun reported earlier this week, that Belgium national team boss Roberto Martinez’s odds of becoming the next Celtic manager have been slashed from 11/1 to 5/2, making him the second favourite for the job, with the favourite remaining interim boss Neil Lennon.
However, BT Sport presenter Darell Currie has ruled out Belgium manager moving to Celtic to permanently replace Brendan Rodgers and Lennon.
“Don’t put your money on Roberto Martinez being the next Celtic manager. Not going to happen. He’s staying with Belgium for the next Euros at least. Wouldn’t rule it out in the future though... much further down the line. He loves Scottish football,” wrote Currie.

It appears his desire is to stay with Belgium to try and win Euro 2020, meaning any return to Scottish football will have to wait a number of years.
