Anderlecht winger Jeremy Doku has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool, and his father claimed that Jurgen Klopp told him he could replace Sadio Mane in 2018.
According to
Ghana Soccer Net, Anderlecht are desperate to cash in on the youngter, even though he just played 24 times for the Belgian side’s senior team. He has featured in seven games, scoring four and assisting three times – but can leave for £17.6million.
However,
Het Nieuwsblad claim that the Reds are still interested in signing the 17-year-old despite him already rejecting them once and AC Milan are reported to be keen as well.

Earlier Doku’s father David told Het Nieuwsblad that in 2018, Klopp had claimed his son could be the long-term successor of Mane.
“My (David, Doku’s father) preference was Liverpool. How we were received there, damn,” Doku said.
“Trainer Klopp explained how he saw a potential successor to Sadio Mane in Jeremy. Steven Gerrard showed us videos with tactical analysis.”
