Jurgen Klopp has reacted to Ballon d'Or 2021 results and, particularly, Mohamed Salah's position in the rankings. Lionel Messi became the winner of the award for the seventh time in football history. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski was second on the list and was also gifted the Striker of the year award. As for Liverpool's Salah, Klopp was surprised to see their star in 7th place after witnessing the Egypt international's impressive spell at Anfield. "I was surprised with his position, to be honest," the German manager said in a pre-match press conference ahead of Everton clash. "If you don't give it Lewandowski now it's difficult to give him at all. But Mo should have been higher up, definitely."
