Mohamed Salah has scored overall 25 goals across all competitions, while Sadio Mane has scored 24.
"It’s difficult," he told Sky Sports after the Huddersfield win. "I spoke to them, I didn’t want them to chase back anymore or stuff like that.
"But for sure, in this moment, we are human beings – one has 21 now and the other 20 – so [you can't] take one off in that moment. Both looked really good.
"When you see then how Mo is running with each ball you think, 'what the heck are you doing?' It’s good, but we need to talk about that obviously, that’s clear.
"But today was a day where you have to leave them on the pitch and manage the game in a very offensive way, which they did obviously. If we start thinking about who could score, when, what, then we have a massive problem.
"The boys did really well, I would say until the last five, six minutes, then it’s normal when Sadio had that beautiful header and Mo a shot a bit far."
