Kai Havertz has reportedly asked Chelsea to take Fikayo Tomori's No 29 shirt number, according to Simon Johnson. It's his favourite number having worn it at Bayer Leverkusen. Tomori was happy to oblige. Havertz has joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in a club-record deal worth as much as £89million, with the Germany international signing a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge. The highly-rated 21-year-old became the sixth new acquisition of the summer, with the Blues making up for last year’s transfer ban by being the most active club in the market.
Meanwhile, been told Kai Havertz asked to take Tomori's No 29 shirt number on joining #CFC. It's his favourite number having worn it at Bayer Leverkusen. Tomori was happy to oblige (and that was before talks over loan to #EFC stepped up).
