Kai Havertz sends message to Chelsea teammates after awful first-half vs Crystal Palace

Kai Havertz has claimed that quick attacking transitions will help Chelsea break down low block defences as shown by contrasting halves in Crystal Palace win. The Blues beat the Eagles with the score of 4-0, as Ben Chilwell, Kurt Zouma and Jorginho (brace) netted for the West London side. Speaking to Chelsea TV, Havertz  said Crystal Palace structured defence made it hard for the home side but thanks to Ben Chilwell’s goal, they moved up a gear and took control of the game. “I think it was difficult for us in the first half because all the players were stuck in their own half from Crystal Palace," the 21-year-old said. “But we said before the game that maybe in the second half when we play [better], [we will have] have a lot of room and I think after 15 minutes we did very good. “We had a lot of space, created good chances, and scored four goals which is very important for us. “I think we had to play very fast, push the ball hard in our own half and the opposite side as well. It’s always difficult to find room for our midfield players but I think we did very well in the second half. “We created a lot of chances, had good crosses in the box and I think it was good timing for us to score the first goal as it gave us good confidence. That’s the reason why we scored a lot of goals in the game.” Source- The Chelsea Chronicle Join us on Telegram
