Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that the club has ended their pursuit of signing the 19-year-old midfielder. The Reds have been a long admirer of Bellingham, however, with intense competition for the star and a struggling spot in Premier League, the club abandoned the race.
In the most recent interview, where Klopp talked about Bellingham’s transfer speculations, he used a metaphor of a 5-year-old kid and a Ferrari. "You have to work with what you have. We are not children. You wouldn't say as a five-year-old at Christmas you want a Ferrari, you don't say 'that's a good idea'. It's too expensive, and you can't drive it”, said the manager.
The Liverpool boss added that in order to succeed in the future, “there are moments when you have to accept it's not possible and step aside and do different stuff."
