Kyle Walker has spoken out on Hugo Lloris as England prepare to face France in the World Cup 2022 quarter-finals.
The Three Lions knocked Senegal out of the tournament in the round of 16, while current World Cup champions celebrated a victory over Poland.
Walker and Lloris were teammates at Tottenham when the Manchester City defender played for them from 2009 to 2017.
Speaking on Lloris, Walker said: “Hugo was my captain at Tottenham. I remember when he signed when Brad Friedel was in net and he came from Lyon.
“He was a great professional and captain. I have nothing but good words to say about Hugo.
“But if he’s watching I hope you don’t have the best of games on Saturday because I want a win and I want to take my country through!”
