Edison Cavani clattered PSG teammate Neymar during a friendly game between Uruguay and Brazil. Brazil won 1-0 thanks to Neymar's penalty.
During the game there could have been seen a bit of tension between two club teammates. And the duo's third teammate, Kylian Mbappe send a cheeky WhatsApp message to Neymar, but he insisted the incident will soon be forgotten about.
Asked by
AS if he had sent Cavani a message to "get him fired up", the 19-year-old laughed: Cavani is already fired up, it’s not necessary.
"I sent Neymar a Whatsapp with the video of Cavani’s foul, and he laughed.
"Really it’s nothing, they were defending their countries and it won’t prevent them from playing together at PSG and giving each other big hugs."
And after the game, Cavani also spoke about the incident:
"When two South American teams meet, it's always a bit intense, I think it was a very good match, and in the end we protested a bit about the penalty.
"But these are things that happen, it's always good to face big teams like Brazil and playing against great rivals like Neymar or the other players that make up this Brazil team.
"Playing against this team with a great history is really good and that's why we do not like to lose either.
"There are no friendly matches in football, sometimes there may be intensity, be the hot environment, but after the game, once the game is over, there is only peace and tranquility outside the field."
The trio is back in action for PSG on November 24th, as they take on Toulouse.
