LeBron James has denied that he moved to the Los Angeles Lakers to be closer to Hollywood as he stepped out in the team's jersey for the first time.
'Listen, I'm a basketball player,' he said when asked about his acting career. 'I play ball. That's what I do. That's what I live by, and when I do it at the level I do it at everything else will take care of itself.
'As far as business, those things had been taken care of long before I even been out here to be part of the Los Angeles franchise.'
James says he is laser-focused on playing basketball and is excited to get to work with the Lakers' new-look roster.
'There are going to be good times and bad times. If we continue to work the process and continue to sacrifice for one another and put in the commitment and time to being great, everything else will fall into place.'
'Today is actually the first time that it's felt real -- putting on the uniform, seeing all the guys in the locker room, being out on this floor and doing media day,' James told ESPN. 'Today is really the first day it felt real, like, 'You are a Los Angeles Laker.'
