Leicester City star named October’s Premier League Player of the Month

Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy was named October’s Premier League Player of the Month as it was announced on the English league’s official Twitter.

Vardy’s response on winning the award was quoted on the Leicester’s official website: “It’s great to win the award but it just shows what the team have been doing as well. We’ve been putting good performances in and fortunately for me I have been getting the chances and putting them away.” The 32-year-old forward is Premier League’s current top goalscorer with 10 goals having scored in the opening 11 matches.
