Leicester City have to wait for the Premier League return, with football games being suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Foxes were enjoying a good season, sitting on the 3rd place of the league table, which means they were on their way to be qualified for the Champions League next season.
Though the return date is unclear, the competition is expected to be completed. Meanwhile, as the teams are nearing the summer transfer window, Brendan Rodger's side will have the chance to improve the squad with new signigns.
Let's see how the 25-man City squad could look like for the 2020-21 campaign.
Goalkeepers: Kasper Schmeichel, Danny Ward, Daniel Iversen
City’s first two goalkeepers will remain the same. While the Foxes could call up Daniel Iversen as the third-choice keeper, with Eldin Jakupovic nearing the end of his contract this summer.
Viktor Johansson is also likely to make the step up from the Under-23s, or the club could decide to sign another third-choice keeper.
Defenders: Ricardo Pereira, James Justin, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Merih Demiral, Filip Benkovic, Wes Morgan, Ben Chilwell, Christian Fuchs
With the Wolves loan player Ryan Bennett unlikely to sign a permanent deal with the club, Brendan Rodgers' side will look for a new centre-half during the upcoming transfer window.
Caglar Soyuncu’s international partner Merih Demiral could be the best option. Wes Morgan could to be offered a one-year contract that will keep him at the club.
Filip Benkovic is likely to return to the Foxes from his loan move at Bristol City, becoming one of the playing options in central defence. It is also possible that the club will decide to loan him again, freeing up a place in the 25-man squad for another forward player.
At full-back, the Foxes will hope to have no changes. At right-back, City will play Ricardo Pereira and James Justin, while Christian Fuchs is expected to extend his contract.
Brendan Rodgers' side will hope to keep Ben Chilwell, in spite of the notable interest from other clubs, including Chelsea.
Midfielders: Wilfred Ndidi, Hamza Choudhury, Maxime Lopez, Dennis Praet, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison, Emi Buendia
Wilfred Ndidi and Hamza Choudhury will keep their places in midfield, while Papy Mendy, being out of contract, is possible to leave the team with a hope of regular football.
James Maddison, Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet will be in competition in the number eight positions.
Meanwhile Marseille’s Maxime Lopez and Norwich's Emiliano Buendia are likely to join the Foxes.
Wingers: Ayoze Perez, Harvey Barnes, Marc Albrighton, Leon Bailey
Both Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez will be key players in Brendan Rodgers' squad.
If Bayer Leverkussen fail to be qualified for the Champions League, City are also likely to imporve the squad with the German club player Leon Bailey.
Demarai Gray's contract with the Foxes expires this summer, so his future at the club is unclear. However, if City decide keep the player at the team, he could still have a place in the 25-man line-up.
Strikers: Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho
City will play with two strikers, including Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho. Both have shown impressive performances this season.
Perez is available in an injury crisis too, so the club are not likely to sign a new striker.
