Leicester City seem to have been handed a boost regarding Ben Chilwell beyond this summer, as they want to keep him at the King Power Stadium.
The 23-year-old has developed through the club’s youth academy to become one of the most wanted players in Europe.
Chilwell has regularly been linked with a move away from the Foxes, as Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested in signing him.
However, now, according to
reports in Italy Chelsea have targeted Atalanta defender Robin Gosens, who is also attracting interest from Juventus and Inter Milan.
Gosens was reportedly wanted by Lyon back in January for 25m euros (£22m).
So now, Frank Lampard's side have reportedly dropped their interest in signing Chilwell, after a value of £80m was placed on the player by Leicester.
Chilwell has made 28 appearances for the Foxes this season so far, even scored twice, and is contracted with the club until 2024.
