Leicester's James Maddison makes 'wind up' claim over controversial Phil Foden incident in Manchester City win

Leicester City playmaker James Maddison has given his verdict on the controversial VAR incident in Manchester City’s win over Southampton last night. The Cityzens picked up a 5-2 win over the Saints on Wednesday, with Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan, James Ward-Prowse and Che Adams all marking their names on the scoresheet. However, one of the main talking points to emerge from the game saw midfielder Phil Foden denied a penalty, despite appearing to be fouled by Saints keeper Alex McCarthy. Maddison, who is currently ruled out with a hip injury, was watching the game and took to Twitter to give his verdict on the incident. “Andy hinchcliffe [Sky Sports co-commentator] on the wind up here ? Saying there isn’t any contact on Foden clear pen for me...” he wrote. Source- LeicestershireLive Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
