Lewis Hamilton, Marc Marquez and Mercedes nominated for Laureus awards

World Champions Lewis Hamilton, Marc Marquez and Mercedes have been nominated for Laureus’ World Sports Awards, with Sophia Floersch also featuring. The Laureus World Sports Awards is an annual award ceremony honouring individuals and teams from the world of sports along with sporting achievements throughout the year. It was established in 1999 by Laureus Sport for Good Foundation founding patrons Daimler and Richemont. Hamilton and Marquez claimed their sixth titles in 2019. Hamilton took the Formula 1 crown, while Marques the Moto GP world title. Both have been nominated for the World Sportsman of the Year, while Mercedes is up for the Team of the Year award.
