Liverpool backed to complete fantastic Wolves transfer

Wolverhampton Wanderers' old foe Kevin Phillips has suggested that the club will sell Adama Traore, but only if Liverpool match their £70m valuation. The 24-year-old winger has thrived in his second season under Nuno Espirito Santo, after signing from Middlesbrough for £18m in 2018. The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp sees Traore as a perfect replacement for Mohammed Salah or Sadio Mane, if they leave Anfield this summer, according to reports in England. It has been suggested that Wolves could look for as much as £70m for Traore and Phillips thinks that kind of bid should see the deal get done. Speaking to Football Insider, former West Ham player said: “He has developed brilliantly this year. His pace is an attribute nobody in world football has got – unbelievable. “He can still frustrate you when he gets into that final third so is he worth £70million? I do not think so. Wolves may be doing that because they do not want to lose the player. If someone offered £70million I am pretty sure Wolves would take it. “It would be disappointing if he leaves because it has been a remarkable turnaround this season. He has developed well under the manager and taken everything on board that he has been told to do. It would be a blow to lose him.” Source- Birmingham Live
