Jurgen Klopp has claimed that the returning Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is greatly impressing him in Liverpool training.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, a £40 million signing in 2017, hasn’t started a game for the Reds since July due to another injury.
However, he made his comeback in last week’s 7-0 demolition of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, managing a 15-minute appearance.
The 27-year-old was at Liverpool’s training ground on Thursday and the Klopp claims there’s more to come from the former Arsenal player, who even asked permission to go a bit harder in fitness training.
He told
The Echo:
“Ox trained today and had a really good session. He asked the fitness coach if he can do a little bit more. There is still something to come so I am really looking forward to it.”
Liverpool's upcoming clash is on Boxing Day against West Brom at Anfield.
