Liverpool head coach has provided an update on Naby Keita injury after Manchester United game.
The Reds celebrated a thrashing 5-0 win at the Old Trafford on Sunday, where Keita both scored and assisted.
Unfortunately, the 26-year-old was forced off the pitch due to a leg injury. The injury occurred as a result of a tackle from Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
After the win, Klopp confirmed that he will know more about the severity of Keita’s injury sometime this week.
He said the following in his
post-match press conference (01:58):
“We have to see how serious it is [Keita’s injury]. Very painful. We will know more tomorrow or the day after. Naby is in a great moment. He’s an outstanding player.”
Liverpool's upcoming game is against Preston on Wednesday in the Carabao clash, and it remains to see whether Keita will be fit to play.
